		Tony Beck Director Logistical Operations, VANOC
	In his position at VANOC (held from 2007 to mid 2010), he was responsible for many of 2010 Olympic Games logistical management services. His role required the orchestration of a myriad of Games related logistics functions. Tony`s areas of responsibility included: warehouse operations customs and freight forwarding trucking and distribution for goods to and from all venues order management reverse logistics and all post Games logistics/ asset dissolution operations He has been involved in the logistics industry for the past 25 years in British Columbia, Ontario and California. Prior to joining VANOC, Tony was responsible for one of IKEA's Western North American Distribution Centres & Operations for the MAERSK Inc. organization. A strong supply chain safety advocate, Tony was responsible for, and a driving force behind a number of award winning safety best practices,-ultimately earning him the prestigious Presidents Safety Council Safety award given by the MAERSK organization. More recently ,in July 2010, Tony was offered ,and accepted the prominent role as Director ,BC Operations for all Molson's & Labatt's beer distribution within the Province of BC under Brewers Distributor Ltd. BDL is a private joint venture company owned by Labatt Breweries of Canada and Molson Breweries for the wholesale distribution of beer and the collection of returnable, refillable and recyclable beer containers within the four Western Canadian Provinces, as well as Northwest Territories and the Yukon.


		John Shaw Vice President Government Relations and Business Development Seaspan Shipyards
	John joined the Washington Marine Group in September 2007 as Vice President - Process Improvement, bringing over 30 years of experience in the marine industry. John was responsible for identifying and implementing new technologies to improve the capabilities of the Shipyards. In 2010, John took on the role of Vice President – Program Management responsible for the development of strategies and capabilities to secure selection of Seaspan Shipyards in the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy. Following the recent selection by Canada of Vancouver Shipyards to build future Non-Combat ships, John has taken on the role of government relations and business development. After completing his apprenticeship at sea, John graduated from Queen’s University in1982 and joined Dome Petroleum as a Research Engineer in their Beaufort Sea Development Group. He was involved with the design of upgrades and modifications to drill and support ships operating in the Beaufort Sea and was also involved in the full scale icebreaking testing of the icebreaking supply ships Kigoriak and Robert LeMeur. In 1986, John graduated with a M. Sc. in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and joined Yard Inc. as a Marine Systems Engineer. He was responsible for systems verification for the CPF project and was machinery systems designer for the initial Maritime Coastal Defense Vessel proposal. In 1988 he joined Lloyd’s Register of Shipping as Engineer Surveyor in Vancouver, BC. John completed a M.B.A. in 1992 and was transferred to Halifax to run the operations in Nova Scotia. He progressed to the rank of Principal Surveyor in 1996 responsible for Eastern Canada. He oversaw the growth of Lloyd’s Register business in Eastern Canada in both offshore certification and ship new construction. John joined Thordon Bearings Inc. in 2000 as Technical Director, responsible for engineering in the development of new products and product application.

	David has over 30 tours to the middle east through pirate infested waters. David is also a current serving reservist with the Canadian Forces. He is trained in Close protection, threat and risk assessment, several different weapons platforms and is a designated marksman. He is a proud father of 14 year old girl who seems to be going on 25 but rest assured she is well protected.
